PBP 2007: the 16th edition
Last weekend, I travelled over to Paris with my husband, Monty, and Nick Maltby, editor extraordinaire to sell the film direct to the 5300 entrants of the 16th edition of Paris-Brest-Paris.
It was a long day but nothing compared to the coming days for the riders. Unlike 2003, the weather was terrible - overcast and raining with the occasional torrential downpour. The deluge aside, the atmosphere was as exciting as last time and I found myself thinking about riding in 2011...
One of the best things about the day was meeting some of the riders we had interviewed for the film - it was great to see them again! Several people who had ordered the film through the website came up to the stand to say how much they had enjoyed it which was very heartening. We sold quite a few copies and handed out a lot of leaflets - all in all, a very successful day.
Chapeau to all those who qualified and bon courage for the 'Incredible Journey'!

PBP 2007
The next Paris-Brest is almost upon us: congratulations to all of you who have qualified for this year's event - chapeau!
I'll be in Guyancourt on Sunday 19 August for the registration, look out for our stand where we will be selling copies of the DVD for the special price of €20 (£13.50)!
Good luck for the ride

latest news!
I always seem to take on more than I can cope with... OK, so here's the latest new (only 6 weeks after the last post!!):
The film was finished and ready to sell at the end of May... just as I started work on the BBC adaptation of 'Oliver Twist'. As this is a 'proper' job and I get paid for my services, ineveitably my attention was diverted to this project...
Some folk have had to wait far too long for the discs they ordered - sorry! I'm based at home now and will be able to despatch orders much more efficiently.
'Oliver Twist' is going to be good, look out for it at Christmas. Which reminds me... 'Paris-Brest-Paris: The Incredible Journey' will make an excellent Christmas present for the cyclist in your life!

latest news
Well, it's been a long haul but the documentary is nearly finished. My apologies to all of you who have been waiting to order a copy - I have had to squeeze the post-production into my regular work schedule which proved trickier than anticipated... Fortunately, the editor - Nick Maltby - has done a fantastic job in spite of my erratic input and the final film is looking very good.
The last few weeks have been the most difficult as my father passed away in April and obviously, my focus was concentrated on the family and my mother in particular.
So, with things settling down, Paris-Brest has returned to the top of the agenda. A good day's work at Chard House Media in the competent hands of Rob Thrush has got the sound mix finished. There are a few graphics to polish and then the master disc goes to the duplicators... The film should be ready to deliver within the next couple of weeks.
Enjoy!
